yes you can do it! i had a red eared and I used to feed him those. Just don't do it all the time. I probably did it like once every couple of months. Just get a small pinkie mouse. And if you do don't feed him again for the next couple of days because he needs time for it to digest. My turtle used to love them. As soon as I put it in there he would scarf if down.
