Is it true that human pinkies are shrinking with each generation due to lack of use?

Can't say I've heard of that one before.That's not exactly how things work though anyway.There are a range of traits that are present throughout humans.From slightly larger to slightly smaller.Just a general lack of use won't necessarily cause smaller pinkies to become more frequent in the gene pool.Some people may like other people with bigger hands,some may like smaller hands.So ual selection can help influence a variety throughout the population.If,however,small pinkies provided a slight advantage for the benefit of the organism,that trait would slowly find itself more frequent in the population.People who had smaller pinkies would have to have a greater tendency to survive and p on their traits to their offspring for a change like that to come about.
