Is this normal for a laptop connection?

alrighty then. I have a Hp laptop running on Windows 7.. (not sure if that matters) but anyways i get my connection through Belkin N Wireless router and sometimes (not all the time) i'll get a slow connection and it takes forever for any pages to load after like 5 mins or whatever it'll load super fast. Wondering if this is normal or something? Please help. Thanks.
