In san antonio i've been told that there are some salt water contaminated bikes hitting the resale market?

i've ben looking for used bike, some guy from houston was selling bike, price was too good, suspicious and walked away, started asking around and heard about these salt water flooded bikes, heard about salvagedirectmotorcycles.com, people said be careful, IS A SALTWATER FLOODED MOTORCYCLE EVER WORTH SALVAGING? i realize this is a very broad topic, thanks
