Is this an okay beginning for a story?

I had had an immaculate reputation. Granted, that was largely in part due to the truth that I didn’t have much of a reputation at all. But still, it was flawless. I think it is fairly blatant that that status changed a bit based on the fact that you are reading my story at this very moment. The rampant television coverage and images of my face plastered everywhere and obnoxious mentioning of “Laci Robinson” over and over should have given you a bit of a clue as well. And let me tell you, it wasn’t easy having my image, or lack thereof, take a 180 degree turn in the span of roughly two weeks. Despite what others may say, absolutely none of this was at all my fault. Fact.
